After I found out I was pregnant with my children, I couldn’t wait to decorate the nursery! I wanted to create a nursery that didn’t look like a typical nursery and I wanted to avoid animals, sports, and ballerinas. I looked online for inspiration and discovered the fabulous work of New Jersey based interior designer, Vanessa Antonelli.
Vanessa designs modern, yet playful nurseries, kids bedrooms, and play spaces for children. What I love best about her designs is that they don’t look like the typical rooms for children but her designs are playful through the use of textiles, colors, and patterns.
Vanessa designed this playroom for Kevin and Danielle Jonas’ first daughter, Alena, after she was born. It’s a stylish yet comfortable playroom that can grow with their daughters well beyond their toddler years. Check out how Vanessa brought the room together from Open House NYC:
The reclaimed wood trend is getting kind of old but this design is a fresh take on using reclaimed wood on the walls. It is paired with a modern white wood and acrylic crib and a Hermes style throw blanket.
This closet is STUNNING! I am so envious! Besides the gorgeous wall made of flowers (!), this little girl’s onesies, dresses, pajamas, and shoes are perfectly organized. Another adorable detail are the rabbit knobs! My daughter would love this closet.
Vanessa designed this modern nursery for Angela Simmons’ son, Sutton. When the baby’s grandfather is Run DMC’s Rev. Run, the design has to be cool. The design includes many uniquely designed details such as the acrylic skateboard ceiling light, custom artwork featuring Cookie Monster as a DJ, and of course, Adidas sneakers as a nod to Sutton’s famous grandfather. More details about the design can be found here.
Aren’t these amazing? Which one is your favorite?
